 Installation of RDS roles.

To install a role on Windows Server 2012, follow these steps:

1. Open Server Manager: Click on the Windows icon in the bottom-left corner, then click on "Server Manager" to launch the Server Manager.

2. Add Roles and Features Wizard: In the Server Manager window, click on "Add roles and features" from the Dashboard, or you can also access it from the "Manage" menu at the top-right corner.

3. Before you begin: The wizard will open. Click "Next" to proceed.

4. Installation Type: Select "Role-based or feature-based installation" and click "Next."

5. Select the target server: Choose the server where you want to install the role and click "Next."

6. Select server roles: Here you will see a list of available roles. Check the box next to the role you want to install. You can also read a brief description of each role to understand its functionality. For example, if you want to install the "Web Server (IIS)" role, check the box next to it. Click "Next" to continue.

7. Select features: If there are any features required for the selected role, you will be prompted to install them. Review the list of features and click "Next."

8. Web Server Role (IIS): If you selected the "Web Server (IIS)" role, you will be prompted to add additional features related to IIS. Select the features you need and click "Next."

9. Confirm installation selections: This screen will show a summary of the role and features you have selected for installation. Review your choices and click "Install" to begin the installation process.

10. Installation progress: The installation will start, and you will see the progress on the screen.

11. Installation complete: Once the installation is finished, you will see a "Installation progress" screen, indicating that the role has been successfully installed. Click "Close" to exit the wizard.

12. Verify the installation: After the role installation is complete, you can check its status by going back to the Server Manager and navigating to "Roles and Features" in the left pane. Here you will see the installed roles and features.

That's it! You have successfully installed a role on Windows Server 2012. Keep in mind that some roles might require additional configuration after installation, so it's a good idea to check the documentation specific to the role you've installed for any additional setup steps.

Go to server manager & click on Manage & select Add Roles & Features.


Click next to begin:-

 
Select Role-based or Feature-based installation.


Click next:-


From the roles select Remote Desktop Services checkbox.

 
Leave this page default and click next:-


Click Next -
